Optuma
optuma.com
Professional charting and research for technical analysts and wealth managers, as a web app from $150 a month or Windows desktop program from $810 a year.
What it is
Optuma has been building analysis software for technical analysts for more than 25 years, and it now sells two products. The newer one is a browser-based platform (optuma.app) aimed at analysts and wealth managers: 500+ charts and indicators, scanning, market regime scorecards, price and fundamental data, built-in AI that can build charts and write model code, and on higher plans a no-code model builder with backtesting, signal testing and factor analysis. Portfolio management with client reporting is being added and is partly released.
The web plans are priced per user: Charts at $150 a month billed annually ($165 paying monthly) and Research at $300 ($330 monthly). Portfolio and Enterprise tiers are listed as coming soon. Every web plan carries a 12-month minimum commitment even when you pay monthly, and the free trial is only granted after a demo call with Optuma's team.
The original Optuma Desktop remains available for Windows only, sold as a yearly licence: Trader at $810, Professional at $1,350 and Enterprise at $2,592, differing in how many end-of-day data groups, chart styles and tools they include and in Bloomberg integration. It has a scripting language designed to read like Excel formulas, a scanning manager and relative rotation graphs. Both products are priced for professionals rather than casual traders.
