eSignal

esignal.com

ICE-owned Windows charting with its own data feed, EFS scripting and Advanced GET studies; the entry package is delayed, real time starts at Signature.

What it is

eSignal is a desktop charting and analysis platform owned by Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), which also supplies its market data. It covers stocks, futures, forex and options from hundreds of sources and venues, with data from tick to yearly bars, and it connects to brokers including Interactive Brokers, FXCM and Rithmic for trading from the charts. Custom studies are written in eSignal Formula Script (EFS).

There are three packages. Classic gives you the charting, drawing tools, the Market Screener Plus and more than 40 add-ons, but on delayed data: snapshot quotes without real-time streaming and 15-minute delayed intraday data. Signature adds real-time streaming, news and research, backtesting, market depth, a year of historical data, Market Profile and Volume Delta. Elite adds the Advanced GET studies and trading platform with its exclusive indicators.

Before paying, note two things. eSignal runs on Windows only and states that it is not Mac-compatible. And real-time use costs more than the headline price: exchange fees and activation fees are charged on top and are not refunded under the 30-day money-back offer, which new customers can use on monthly plans.
