Yahoo Finance Screener
finance.yahoo.com
Yahoo Finance's free stock screener filters equities in 50 regions by price, market cap, sector, industry and fundamentals, with presets and paid filters.
What it is
The Yahoo Finance equity screener is the stock-filtering page inside Yahoo Finance's Research hub. You start from the whole market (the default US view shows more than 10,000 results), then narrow it by region, market cap, price, sector, industry, index and a longer list of valuation, profitability and trading metrics, and choose which columns the results table shows. Coverage spans 50 regions, which is wider than many US-focused free screeners.
The basic screener is free and works without signing in; a free Yahoo account lets you save screens. Yahoo also publishes ready-made screens such as most shorted stocks, most active penny stocks and analyst strong-buy stocks, and has separate screeners for ETFs, mutual funds, options and crypto.
Yahoo's paid plans sit on top. Bronze ($7.95 a month) is mainly portfolio tools. Silver ($19.95 a month) adds fair value estimates, Morningstar ratings and research reports. Gold ($39.95 a month, with a seven-day trial) adds premium screeners including a Smart Money Screener, the AlphaSpace research workspace, around 40 years of financial statements and CSV downloads of historical data. For plain fundamental filtering, the free version is enough.
