Finviz
finviz.com
Free web screener for NASDAQ, NYSE and AMEX stocks with heat maps and pattern signals; Elite adds real-time quotes, alerts, exports and interactive charts.
What it is
Finviz combines a stock screener, market heat maps, news, insider trades, an earnings calendar and simple portfolios on one fast website. The screener mixes fundamental, technical and descriptive filters and shows results as a table, charts or snapshots, and the homepage flags stocks forming trendlines, wedges, channels and other chart patterns.
A free account is enough for most end-of-day screening. Quotes are delayed one minute, financial statements go back three years, ETF data is limited, the page auto-refreshes every three minutes and there are ads. Finviz Elite switches to real-time quotes including premarket (from 4 AM) and after-hours (to 8 PM), extends statements to eight years, opens full ETF holdings, unlocks advanced screener filters, interactive and multi-layout charts, intraday heat maps, unlimited alerts and exports to Excel or CSV, and removes the ads.
Coverage is US-listed stocks and ETFs on NASDAQ, NYSE and AMEX only, and Finviz says it has no plans to add other markets. Futures stay delayed 20 minutes even on Elite. The Elite trial requires a card and turns into a paid plan automatically unless you cancel, and refunds are available only within the first 30 days on written request.
