What it is
Tradier is a brokerage built around its API. The same REST and streaming endpoints that power its own web, desktop and mobile apps are open to customers and to more than 100 partner platforms, so you can pull quotes, option chains with greeks and historical data, and place stock and options orders from your own code. Tradier also offers an MCP server for connecting AI coding tools.
The key thing to know before choosing it as a data source: real-time market data is available only to Tradier Brokerage account holders (and partners and advisors). Anyone can open the sandbox, a paper-trading environment for testing an integration, but its data is delayed 15 minutes. Tradier does not charge account holders for API access, and there is no account minimum for the securities brokerage ($500 for futures).
Pricing is a choice between commission plans rather than data plans. Lite is $0 a month with $0.35 per stock trade and per option contract. Pro, $10 a month, makes stock and equity options trades commission-free, with index options at $0.35. Pro Plus, $35 a month, cuts index options to $0.10 and the assignment fee to $5. New customers can currently try Pro or Pro Plus free for two months.
