What it is
Financial Modeling Prep (FMP) sells market and fundamental data through a REST API, with WebSocket feeds for stocks, forex and crypto, bulk downloads, and an add-on for Excel and Google Sheets. Its strength is company fundamentals: financial statements, ratios, discounted cash flow values, SEC filings, analyst estimates, earnings, dividend and split calendars, insider and Senate trades, and on the top plan earnings call transcripts, ETF and mutual fund holdings and 13F institutional holdings.
The free Basic plan gives 250 calls a day on end-of-day data, profile and reference data, with five years of history and a 500 MB monthly bandwidth cap. Starter ($29 a month, or $19 billed annually) moves to real-time data at 300 calls a minute with US coverage, annual fundamentals, news, crypto and forex. Premium ($69, or $49 annually) adds 30-plus years of history, UK and Canada coverage, full fundamentals, intraday charts, technical indicators and corporate calendars. Ultimate ($139, or $99 annually) adds global coverage, 1-minute intraday data, transcripts, fund and 13F holdings, and bulk delivery at 3,000 calls a minute.
These plans are for individual use. Showing FMP data in an app or website for others needs a separate commercial display and licensing agreement.
