What it is

The Fly is a subscription news service that condenses what is moving US stocks into short, tagged stories. Editors publish breaking items across categories such as hot stocks, analyst recommendations (upgrades, downgrades and target changes), earnings, SEC filings, company press releases and more, and shade the most important stories red so they stand out in the feed. The value is speed and brevity: one or two lines on why a stock is moving, rather than long articles.

Around the feed sit tools for following your own names: news filtered by portfolio and ticker, alert settings, earnings and events calendars, a Street Research section, charting, a stock and ETF screener, and company KPIs gathered by hand from investor relations materials and updated within minutes of earnings releases. Fly Cast is an audio broadcast from 8 AM to 4:30 PM ET on trading days, with pre-market updates and break-ins during the session.

Access is web-based with monthly or annual subscriptions, and annual billing is 20% cheaper. A free sign-up and a 7-day free trial are offered. The pricing table was not readable when we checked, so compare current plan prices on the site before subscribing.
