Sharesight
sharesight.com
Portfolio tracker that records dividends automatically and reports returns after dividends, fees and currency moves across brokers, free up to 10 holdings.
What it is
Sharesight tracks what you own across brokers and countries and works out how it has really performed. Returns are reported as total annualised figures that include capital gains, dividends, brokerage fees and currency changes, in dollars and percentages. It supports more than 700,000 stocks, ETFs and funds on exchanges around the world, records dividends and corporate actions automatically, and imports trades from hundreds of brokers (including Robinhood, Charles Schwab and Interactive Brokers) or from a spreadsheet. Eight major cryptocurrencies can be tracked too.
The Free plan covers one portfolio and 10 holdings, counting closed ones, with the performance and sold securities reports. Starter ($7 a month billed yearly) raises that to 30 holdings and adds diversity and exposure reports. Standard ($18 a month billed yearly) gives four portfolios with unlimited holdings and adds the taxable income, contribution analysis, multi-currency valuation and future income reports. Premium ($23.25 a month billed yearly) allows ten portfolios, adds the multi-period report and priority support. Monthly billing costs about a third more.
The iOS and Android apps are read-only companions: you can view portfolios and a watchlist, but trades and reports have to be handled on the web. Options can only be entered as custom investments, and short selling and CFDs are not supported.
