NYSE Holiday Calendar
nyse.com
The NYSE's official page of market holidays and early closes three years ahead, plus session hours for its equity, options and bond markets.
What it is
This is the New York Stock Exchange's own reference page for when its markets are open. It lists the full-day holidays for the current and next two years (currently 2026 to 2028): New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Washington's Birthday, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. It also lists the early-close days, such as the day after Thanksgiving, when equity markets close at 1:00 p.m. ET and eligible options at 1:15 p.m.
Below the holidays it sets out trading sessions for each NYSE market. The core equity session runs from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET with opening and closing auctions. Extended hours differ by exchange: NYSE Arca Equities has early trading from 4:00 a.m. and late trading to 8:00 p.m., NYSE American and NYSE Texas trade from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and NYSE bonds run from 4:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. across three sessions. Options pre-opening starts at 6:00 a.m.
Because it comes from the exchange, it is the page to check before planning around a holiday or a half day. Brokers may set their own extended-hours windows, which can be narrower than the exchange's.
