IPOScoop
iposcoop.com
Free US IPO calendar with expected dates, price ranges, share counts, underwriters and lock-up expirations; SCOOP opening-day ratings are for subscribers.
What it is
IPOScoop has tracked US initial public offerings since at least 2006. Its calendar lists each upcoming deal with the company, proposed ticker, lead underwriters, number of shares, price range, estimated dollar volume and the expected first trading date, which is most of what you need to plan around a new listing. All of that is free to read.
The rest of the free site covers what happens around and after the deal: recent pricings by year, the last 100 IPOs and last 12 months with performance scorecards, breakdowns by underwriter and industry, IPO news, and a lock-up expiration calendar showing when insiders become free to sell, which can pressure a stock months after it lists.
What you pay for is the SCOOP Rating and its changes: a consensus, gathered from Wall Street and investment professionals at press time, of how well an IPO is likely to open. IPOScoop stresses that the rating is not its own opinion and is not investment advice. A subscription also includes commentary from John Fitzgibbon. First-time subscribers get a 30-day free trial. The site is web only, and it covers US listings.
