BLS Release Schedule
bls.gov
The Bureau of Labor Statistics' official release calendar for jobs, CPI, PPI, JOLTS and other labor reports, with a free subscribable ICS feed.
What it is
This is the primary source for when the Bureau of Labor Statistics will publish its reports, several of which regularly move stocks, bonds, rates and currencies: the Employment Situation (the monthly jobs report), the Consumer Price Index, the Producer Price Index, the Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS), the Employment Cost Index, Real Earnings and the import and export price indexes. Dates are set well in advance, and each entry gives the exact release time in Eastern Time. Most major reports come out at 8:30 a.m. ET, with some at 10:00 a.m. ET.
You can view the schedule by month, for the full year, by individual release or for past years. Instead of checking the page, you can subscribe to the ICS calendar feed in Outlook, Apple Calendar or Google Calendar, or sign up for email notices, so release dates appear next to your own events.
The page gives dates and times only. It carries no consensus forecasts, prior values or market commentary, and it covers BLS releases only, so reports from other agencies such as GDP from the Bureau of Economic Analysis or retail sales from the Census Bureau, and Federal Reserve meetings, are not on it. Traders usually pair it with an economic calendar that shows forecasts.
