TradingDiary Pro
tradingdiarypro.com
Long-running trading journal for Windows or the web that imports statements from 30+ brokers and groups 25+ options strategies into single positions.
What it is
TradingDiary Pro has been sold since 2009 as a Windows desktop journal and now also comes as a separate web app. Both import statements from brokers (30+ are supported, including Interactive Brokers, thinkorswim, Questrade, OANDA and MetaTrader 4), with CSV, Excel or manual entry as fallbacks, and cover stocks, options, futures and forex. Its standout for options traders is strategy recognition: more than 25 structures, from verticals and calendars to condors, straddles and collars, are grouped into one position with a combined P&L, including adjustments.
Reporting is detailed and numbers-heavy: P&L by day, week, month, instrument and time of day, equity and drawdown curves, Sharpe and Sortino ratios, leverage, streaks, and capital gains and dividend reports with foreign-currency conversion using central-bank rates. The desktop program also includes a chart-based position sizer.
The two versions are priced differently. The desktop licence is a one-time $149 that includes a year of upgrades and support on two computers, then $49 a year to keep receiving updates. The web app is a yearly subscription: Edge at $99 for up to 5 accounts and 2,000 trades, Elite at $149 with no limits. Both have a 30-day free trial; after the desktop trial ends the data stays readable but cannot be edited. There is no monthly billing and refunds are partial.
