Tradervue

tradervue.com

Long-running web trading journal importing trades from 80+ brokers, with performance by setup, time, symbol and exit quality, and a limited free plan.

What it is

Tradervue is a browser-based trading journal. You import executions from your broker (it supports more than 80 platforms, including Interactive Brokers, TradeStation and Lightspeed, some by automatic sync), and it groups them into trades, plots entries and exits on price charts and builds reports on what makes and loses money: by symbol, setup tag, time of day, holding time and more. Each trade can carry notes and chart drawings, and you can share trades publicly or with a mentor.

The free plan is for trying it out: its help center puts the limit at 30 imported trades a month (counted as grouped trades, not executions), futures are not supported, and shared trades have P&L hidden. Silver ($29.95 a month) removes the import limit and adds futures, advanced reports, MFE and MAE statistics, risk tracking, mentoring and Excel export. Gold ($49.95 a month) adds exit analysis, maximum potential P&L, liquidity reports and support for commissions and fees in the numbers.

Paid plans can be trialled at signup; the card is charged when the trial ends unless you switch to the free plan. Commissions and fees are only factored into results on Gold, which matters for high-frequency or options traders whose costs are a large share of P&L.

Strengths

  • Imports from more than 80 brokers and platforms
  • Mature reporting by setup tag, time and symbol
  • Mentor and sharing features for coaching
  • Covers stocks, options, futures and forex on paid plans

Limitations

  • The free plan's 30-trade monthly import limit is too small for active day traders
  • Futures require a paid plan
  • Commissions and fees only enter the reports on the $49.95 Gold plan
  • Web only; the site does not mention a mobile app

Good fit for

  • Day and swing traders who want reports on which setups work
  • Traders working with a mentor or coach
  • Traders who import from several brokers into one journal

Look elsewhere if

  • Very active traders who want a free plan without import limits
  • Options traders who need per-leg strategy analytics as the main feature
