QuantWheel

quantwheel.com

Options workspace pairing gamma exposure (GEX) tools with a broker-synced wheel screener, roll finder and journal that tracks cost basis after assignment.

What it is

QuantWheel serves two kinds of options trader from one account. Directional traders get gamma, vanna and charm exposure by strike, heatmaps, a GEX screener and a replay of earlier market states. Option sellers running the wheel get a screener for cash-secured puts and covered calls, a roll finder, and a journal that syncs read-only from brokers such as Fidelity, Schwab, Robinhood, E*Trade, Interactive Brokers and tastytrade and adjusts cost basis after assignment.

A set of calculators needs no account at all: GEX and max pain calculators, GEX and vanna/charm heatmaps, a wheel and cash-secured put calculator, a cost basis calculator and an earnings expected-move scanner. A free account adds one broker connection at low limits, such as five screener results. The paid plans are tiered by use case: GEX for dealer-positioning research, Wheel for the full selling workflow and journal, and Quant for options flow and the REST API.

Before paying, note that options flow is limited to SPY and SPX and only comes with the top Quant plan, and that the GEX plan allows a single broker connection and no journal. Paid plans start with a 7-day trial for $1; three-month and annual terms are paid upfront. QuantWheel is not a broker and does not place trades, apart from optional order routing a user can switch on for a TradeZero account.

Strengths

  • Combines GEX analysis and a wheel-selling workflow, which are usually sold as separate tools
  • The journal is built around options: it follows rolls and adjusts cost basis after assignment
  • Read-only broker sync across a wide list of US brokers
  • Useful free calculators that need no account
  • Quarterly and annual terms cut the monthly cost substantially

Limitations

  • Options flow covers only SPY and SPX and requires the $119/mo Quant plan
  • The GEX plan has no journal, wheel workflow or alerts and allows one broker connection
  • The free sandbox and free account use delayed data
  • Web-based with browser and TradingView add-ons; no mobile app is listed
  • The $1 trial fee and renewal charges are non-refundable

Good fit for

  • Traders who run the wheel with cash-secured puts and covered calls
  • Option sellers who want an accurate cost basis after assignment and rolls
  • Traders who use GEX levels to plan index or single-stock trades

Look elsewhere if

  • Traders who want market-wide options flow across all tickers
  • Stock-only investors with no options activity
