PowerOptions
poweropt.com
Long-running income-strategy options screener scanning about 5,900 optionable stocks, with portfolio tracking and stress tests, priced by data level.
What it is
PowerOptions is a web-based screener aimed at options income strategies such as covered calls, naked puts, married puts and collars. Its patented SmartSearchXL engine searches more than 5,900 optionable stocks and 1.9 million contracts across 23 strategies and ranks the results by potential return, so you start from a list of candidate trades rather than one chain at a time.
Around the screener sit a position portfolio that tracks multi-leg trades with alerts, a stress test that shows how a portfolio fares if stocks move 5 to 20 percent, a trading diary and performance summaries. Every subscription includes the full tool set, one-to-one coaching and same-day email support.
The five tiers differ by data rather than tools. End of Day works from closing data; Delayed adds Picks of the Day and emailed search results; Historical adds historical data and backtesting; RealTime adds live data; Premium combines real-time, historical data and API access. Real-time data and backtesting only come together at the top tier, so decide which you need before choosing.
