OptionsPlay

optionsplay.com

Guided options platform that turns a market view into a structured trade, screens covered-call and cash-secured-put income, and alerts to roll or close.

What it is

OptionsPlay is built around a process rather than raw data. You start with a view on a stock, and the strategy builder proposes a structured options trade with the risk explained in plain language. Daily trade ideas are grouped by strategy type, income screeners rank stocks by the yield available from covered calls and cash-secured puts, and position alerts tell you when a trade has reached the point where the plan says hold, roll or close.

The same engine is licensed to brokers: the company lists integrations with Fidelity, Firstrade, TradeStation, Questrade and BMO, and some brokerage customers may already see OptionsPlay tools inside their account. The standalone subscription adds weekly live education, weekly macro research and trade-signal review sessions.

Pricing is simple. After a 14-day free trial with no card required, it costs $100 a month or $750 a year. Both plans carry the same core tools; the annual plan adds master classes. You can cancel at any time and keep access to the end of the billing cycle, but the pricing page states that no refunds are given, so the trial is the time to decide. OptionsPlay does not place trades itself: you take the trade ticket to your own broker.

Strengths

  • Takes you from a stock view to a defined options trade without building spreads by hand
  • Income screener aimed at covered-call and cash-secured-put sellers
  • Roll and close alerts help traders stick to a management plan
  • Weekly live education is included in the subscription

Limitations

  • No permanent free plan; $100 a month after the 14-day trial
  • No refunds once billed, according to the pricing page
  • Does not execute trades; you enter them at your own broker
  • Built around suggested strategies rather than raw data such as options flow or full chain analytics

Good fit for

  • Newer options traders who want a guided, rules-based process
  • Income traders selling covered calls and cash-secured puts
  • Traders who want coaching and alerts, not just a calculator

Look elsewhere if

  • Experienced traders who build their own spreads and only need analytics (a cheaper analysis tool fits better)
  • Traders looking for options flow or unusual activity data
